Martial set for new Manchester United deal

According to a report from Sky Sports News, Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is set to sign a new five and a half year deal with the Red Devils. The expectation is that the deal will go through prior to the weekend, and after months upon months of negotiations, an agreement was finally reached recently. An offer was made back in October to the Frenchman, but that was rejected.

This new deal would see him remain at Old Trafford until at least the summer of 2024, barring any major bid from around Europe. Martial, who is a French international, is still in the early stages of his career at the age of just 23. He joined United back in 2015 and while he may have started off well, he seemed to fall off the grid a little bit in terms of his consistency.

Now, though, he seems to have rediscovered his form that put him on the map in the first place.
