Matic offered to Roma

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has been offered to Roma.

Throughout the course of his stay in English football, Nemanja Matic has been known and recognised as a player with real integrity. At the same time, his effectiveness as part of Manchester United’s first team has diminished pretty significantly over the course of the last few years.

It doesn’t appear as if he’s going to be anywhere near a starting XI place anytime soon and as a result of that, he could easily be part of the exodus that is likely to take place during the upcoming summer transfer window.

If and when that happens, he could be partnered up with a man he’ll know quite well – former United boss and current Roma manager Jose Mourinho.

We’ve seen a string of players carve out a successful stint with Roma this season and while they may not be in title contention, the pieces are in place for them to kick on in the next couple of seasons.

With a rejuvenated Matic in the middle of the park, their team could look pretty different.
