McKennie wants Premier League switch?

According to a recent report from Sky Germany, Schalke midfielder Weston McKennie is interested in a potential move to the English Premier League during the summer transfer window. The American star is a close friend of Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic, and is said to be invested in the idea of joining him in the English top flight. Whether or not that means he wants to come to Chelsea specifically, though, remains to be seen.

Schalke are believed to be in serious financial trouble right now, and are not in a position to reject advances from clubs – even if it’s for their most valuable players.

It could wind up being a very long and strenuous summer for Schalke if they’re as vulnerable as is being made out, but either way, McKennie clearly knows what he’s worth, and he is well aware of how much a move to the Premier League would improve his prospects.
