Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo has revealed that he would welcome a permanent move to Galatasaray after two successful loan spells there.
The Brazil international has been with the Serie A champions since 2009, scoring four goals in 78 appearances in all competitions.
He was a regular fixture for the Turkish team in 2012-13 and also featured in their UEFA Champions League campaign, in which they reached the quarter-finals.
“Do not rule anything out. Galatasaray is a great team, where I was very happy in those two years, with three titles and twice voted the best player in the league,” Melo told Brazilian newspaper Portal Da Band.
“I identify with the fans and the club. I believe that Galatasaray are also in negotiations. This is the week that we will know the future.
“This initial project of the club began with Felipe Melo. I was an important part of this project. I have to thank the fans and officials.
“I know that the club are interested in me. Before leaving on vacation I talked to the director of Galatasaray and he had already shown interest. But now I need a vacation, rest, especially after playing the quarter-finals of the Champions League.”
Melo has also been linked with Manchester City but when asked about this, insisted he knew nothing of a potential move to the Etihad Stadium.
