According to a recent report from Sport, Lionel Messi could leave Paris Saint-Germain in favour of Major League Soccer this summer.

The report in question indicates that, in an incredibly unique agreement, all 29 clubs could contribute towards his salary in order to ensure he makes a splash in the American market.

The Argentine veteran was already in the GOAT running before the World Cup but now that he’s been able to win it, his stock has gone through the roof.

Sure, he’ll be turning 36 in June, but he still seems to have something left in the tank – both domestically and on the international stage.

The MLS, meanwhile, is in the market to grow their league even further, especially with the 2026 World Cup in North America being just over three years away.

There’s real potential in the idea of him heading over there and, in the eyes of many fans and pundits, it’d be a lot more acceptable than Cristiano Ronaldo heading to Saudi Arabia.
