Messi questions Barca’s Neymar pursuit

“I would have liked for Neymar to have returned,” he said. “Honestly, I’m not sure if Barca did all they could to sign him, but I know it is difficult to negotiate with PSG.

“I am not disappointed. We have a spectacular squad that can challenge for all, even without Neymar. He is one of the best in the world. With his level and sponsors, it would have been a big gain for the club.”

Those are the words of Barcelona legend Lionel Messi, who made it clear that he doesn’t know whether or not the club did everything within their power to complete the signing of the Brazilian sensation Neymar. Messi and Neymar worked really well together during his last spell at the Nou Camp but it certainly seems as if there’s a lot of potential if they do wind up coming back together – whether it be in January, next summer or beyond.
