Napoli eager to keep key stars

According to Corriere dello Sport, Italian side Napoli are desperate to keep hold of their biggest stars – and will attempt to tie them down to new deals in order to detract other big European sides from bidding for them. Napoli have enjoyed a strong domestic run over the course of the last few years, to the point where they’ve been consistently challenging Juventus at the top of the Serie A table. As a variety of clubs continue to lurk around their top names, however, it makes sense for them to try and secure their futures.

Nikola Maksimovic, Elseid Hysaj and Piotr Zielinski are three players who have been mentioned, and it’s not exactly a hard story to believe. More and more clubs are starting to notice the surge of mega clubs like Juventus and Real Madrid who are piling as much money as they can into building super teams, and on top of that, Napoli also have to deal with Chelsea and Maurizio Sarri.
