With the Belarusian Premier League still soldiering on despite the coronavirus pandemic, Neman Grodno will welcome top-flight returners Belshina to the Stadyen Nyoman on Friday evening.

Starting with the hosts, while Neman Grodno may have managed to pick up just a single Premier League win since opening the new campaign, the Yellow and Greens will take plenty of positives from last week’s performance. Picking up a point away at Europa League outfit Shakhtyor on the road and creating a string of chances, Igor Kovalevich’s men have shipped just a single strike in their opening three contests and also hold an eye-catching record in front of their own supporters. Including a 2-0 win against Vitebsk a fortnight ago, Grodno are unbeaten in their last four top-flight matches on home soil, winning three of those contests. Losing just a pair of their last 10 Premier League appearances at the Stadyen Nyoman, a run that stems back to June, there is no doubt that Friday’s hosts should be confident of picking up all three points this weekend.

As for the visitors, while Belshina may have marked their Premier League return in some style last season by losing just a pair of their second-tier outings, it has been a worrying top-flight return for Eduard Gradoboyev’s men. Failing to record a single shot on target in their 1-0 defeat against Gorodeya on home soil last week, the Red and Blacks have lost each of their opening three Premier League outings and are unsurprisingly seen as a leading contender to be hit with an immediate relegation this year. It should also be noted that along with being hit with a 1-0 defeat the last time they made the trip to the Stadyen Nyoman back in 2016, Belshina have failed to win any of their previous 17 trips to Grodno, a run that stems back to 2000.
