According to a recent report from ESPN, Newcastle United and Chelsea may both pursue Eden Hazard in the January transfer window.
The Belgian is currently struggling to secure consistent time in the first team with Real Madrid and after a disappointing injury-ravaged tenure with the club across the last two years, now may be the time for him to head back over to the Premier League.
It was always a successful stomping ground for him during his time at Stamford Bridge and while he may have left on a slightly sour note, English football would likely welcome him back with open arms.
A return to Chelsea seems logical but Newcastle, as we all know, are looking for a marquee signing in January to let the rest of the league know that they mean business.
Hazard comes with risks attached as a result of his injuries, but the rewards far outweigh that.
