According to a recent report from Kicker, Newcastle United have once again been linked with a move for Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule.
The belief is that the 26-year-old has yet to resolve his contract situation and because of that, he’s willing to entertain the idea of a move to the Magpies.
Sule is one of many names on the shortlist for Newcastle as we look ahead to what is bound to be a busy January transfer window. From their dealings to the mounting speculation about what the club’s future direction is going to be, nobody really knows what to expect from them between now and the end of the season.
They’re currently locked in a relegation battle which isn’t likely to be the most appealing of prospects for Sule. Still, if they can gradually bring in a few big name players, the tide may begin to turn quite rapidly once we get to the new year.
