Newcastle go after Willock

According to a recent report from Newcastle Chronicle, Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce is ready and willing to make a move for Joe Willock.

Willock is currently out on loan with the Magpies from Arsenal, with some wondering whether or not there’s room for him at the Emirates. As it turns out, Bruce is prepared to ask for the funds necessary to sign Willock on a permanent deal.

Newcastle may have finished in 12th place but that doesn’t mean all supporters are necessarily 100% happy with Steve Bruce as manager. Still, if he’s going to do everything in his power to sign someone as exciting as Willock, perhaps it’s a sign that he’s starting to understand what he needs to do in order to succeed on Tyneside.

Either way, a very interesting summer transfer window awaits with Joe Willock being at the forefront of Newcastle’s hopeful push for a place in the top half next season.
