According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Newcastle United are indeed interested in attempting to sign RB Leipzig star Ademola Lookman, with the expectation being that they will make a loan offer with an extended offer to buy.
Lookman is looking to leave the German club just six months after initially joining, raising some eyebrows regarding his own ability to be a committed member of any given team.
The preliminary discussions have already taken place between the two clubs with a loan being put on the table, and yet while Steve Bruce wants to see a winger being brought into the club, a striker is still going to be his priority above all else.
The Magpies certainly aren’t out of the woods yet when it comes to the battle to fend off relegation, and in order to take a big step forward in preventing that, they need to be looking to bring in stars that they otherwise wouldn’t have even considered.
