Newcastle keen on permanent Dubravka deal

Newcastle United look set to sign goalkeeper Martin Dubravka from Sparta Prague on a permanent basis, according to the Express.

The Slovakia international moved to St James’s Park on loan in January and has impressed so far, keeping three clean sheets in his first five appearances.

He has also helped his side to four wins and a draw since making his debut – a run which has seen the North East outfit climb into the top half of the table.

He has been capped ten times for his country with half of those appearances coming in the 2018 World Cup qualification campaign though he was unable to help them progress to the finals.

Rafael Benitez’s side have the opportunity to climb up to ninth place as they take on an Everton side just a point above them at Goodison Park on Monday evening, with the away win priced at 23/10.
