Newcastle to go after Chiesa?

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Newcastle may offer Juventus as much as €120 million to try and sign Federico Chiesa.

The belief is that they want to partner him up with Antonio Conte who, as a result of the recent Saudi Arabia takeover on Tyneside, has been heavily linked with the Newcastle job as Steve Bruce nears the exit door.

The Magpies are going to be making some obscenely big moves over the course of the next few years but they really need a major signing to get them up and going. Whether or not Chiesa is that guy remains to be seen but the figures being quoted just further highlight how unbelievable this era could be for the club.

Juventus will be desperate to keep hold of their man but the re-investment possibilities with that kind of cash should lead to them agreeing to the sale – provided it becomes reality.
