Newcastle United eye permanent Kenedy deal

Newcasle United are confident of securing a permanent deal for on-loan Chelsea starlet Kenedy, according to the Mirror.

The Brazilian winger moved to St James’s Park in January in a deal which will see him stay with Rafael Benitez’s side until the end of the season, and the Spaniard is keen to secure his services beyond the summer following his impressive form

He netted his first goals for the North East club at the weekend, grabbing a brace in the 3-0 win over Southampton – a result which has put some daylight between themselves and the sides in the bottom three.

Kenedy moved to Stamford Bridge from Fluminese in the summer of 2015 and played twenty times for the club in his first season in England, scoring twice.

However he played just once in the Blues’ title winning 2016/17 campaign, spending a spell of that season on loan at Watford.
