According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are not going to be attempting to sign Neymar during the summer transfer window because they don’t want to hinder the development of Vinicius Junior. The youngster has had a great season with the club and is set to continue that in the next few years, with the belief being that Neymar would take over as the main man up top for the club. A deal bringing the Brazilian to the Bernabeu is still said to be a distinct possibility, but it is no longer the priority for the club. The main priority is getting Eden Hazard to complete his move over from Premier League side Chelsea, following years of speculation linking him with a departure from Stamford Bridge.

That seems to be all but wrapped up, but until the deal is announced by both sides, we can never know for sure.
