According to a recent report from AS, former Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes the club will struggle to afford a deal for Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland.

Throughout the entirety of world football there are plenty of world class players who have earned the right to be up there in the upper echelons as “elite” level footballers. Now, we think it’s safe to say Erling Haaland is part of that conversation.

The Borussia Dortmund forward has been one of the most impressive goalscorers in the game for a good few years now and it finally seems as if a parade of top European clubs are ready to take a punt on him. We’ve already heard about the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City all being interested, but Bayern are aiming to try and keep him as a Bundesliga commodity.

However, if this report is to be believed, they may well come up short.
