According to a recent report from Bild, Chelsea have not yet put an offer on the table for Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.
It has become crystal clear in the last few weeks that Havertz is one of Frank Lampard’s main targets ahead of the summer transfer window, but up to this point, we haven’t really seen any kind of substantial movement.
The question now will be whether or not Havertz is interested in a transfer to the Premier League at all. The instinct reaction would probably be yes, but if this turns out to be a saga that lasts for months on end, we can’t imagine he’d be all too thrilled by the time it came to signing on the dotted line.
Given the sort of buzz that Havertz has been generating since the lockdown, the Blues should probably think about putting forward that bid sooner rather than later.
