Norwich City 3/4 to beat Derby County in Saturday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Norwich City win

Odds: 3/4 @ 888sport

Looking to build off of that stunning display earlier in the week, Norwich will make the trip to an empty Pride Park when they face off against Derby on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, despite managing to end their torrid run with that much-needed victory against Luton when returning from the international break, Derby failed to keep up that momentum. With some in their camp still looking over their shoulder at the drop zone, Wayne Rooney’s side were last seen earlier in the week getting hit with a thumping defeat on their travels. Eventually slumping to a 3-1 loss away at play-off contenders Reading, the former England skipper has seen his squad land just a single win in their last nine Championship matchups, a run that stems back to February 23rd. Struggling to match a similar level that saw them enjoy a real boost when Rooney signed up on a permanent basis, it appears that Derby could face another tough test at Pride Park this weekend.

As for the visitors, laying down yet another clinical marker earlier in the week, Norwich have continued to shine since dropping back down to The Championship last summer. Appearing to cruise their way to an immediate Premier League return this season, Head Coach Daniel Farke saw his side land a stunning 7-0 romp against Huddersfield at Carrow Road last time out. Now within striking distance of confirming their top-flight return and with leading marksman Teemu Pukki only continuing on a free-scoring purple patch, The Yellows are enjoying a stellar 12-match unbeaten run, a run that stems back to the start of February. More impressive, managing to muster themselves a points tally of 32 on their remarkable run, it should also be noted that Norwich are unbeaten in their last six contests away from Carrow Road, winning five of those fixtures.
