Norwich eyeing Afobe bid

Sky Sports understands that Norwich City are keen on signing Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Benik Afobe.

The twenty-two year old only moved to Molineux in January, but has scored sixteen goals in twenty-seven outings for the side.

Prior to his switch to the Midlands outfit, he bagged nineteen goals in thirty appearances for MK Dons while he has also had spells with Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Bolton Wanderers, Reading and Huddersfield Town.

Afobe began his career with Arsenal, but left before making a senior appearance for Arsene Wenger’s side.

Wolves have no intention of selling their star man as they look to return to the top flight after a four year absence.

He netted the opener as Kenny Jackett’s side lost 3-2 to Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday evening, a result which leaves them in eleventh place with four points and at a price of 4/1 to win promotion by any means.
