Norwood wants Sheff United stay

“It’s nice that the club want me to stay here,” he said. “I’ve spoken to the manager and the powers that be. We’ll get there. It’s as simple as that.

“Why, from a personal point of view, would I want to go anywhere else? It’s a special place to be and arguably I want to be here for the rest of my career. I can’t see myself leaving and why would I want to?”

Those are the words of Sheffield United star Oliver Norwood who has confirmed that he wants to stay with the Blades. Chris Wilder, United manager, wants to see Norwood come to terms on a new contract with the club and it appears as if Norwood falls into the same boat too.

Norwood has been an integral part in the success of Sheffield United’s campaign thus far as they look towards potentially securing a place in Europe next season.
