Nottingham Forest 13/8 to beat Bristol City in Tuesday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Nottingham Forest win

Odds: 13/8 @ 888sport

Looking to extend on what has been a hugely impressive purple patch, Nottingham Forest will make the trip to Bristol City on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, marking their return from October’s international break with a flat display over the weekend, Bristol City have shown some real inconsistencies since opening the 2021/22 campaign. Last seen getting hit with what was a deserved 2-0 defeat at home against Bournemouth, Nigel Pearson’s men have now managed to win just one of their last four Championship contests on either side of the break. Knowing that they could face another stern test at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night, the one-time Watford boss will have an extended headache over his side’s issues on home soil. Including that deserved defeat against the Cherries a few days ago, Bristol City have remarkably failed to win a single home fixture so far this season. Likewise, it should also be noted that Pearson’s squad have failed to land a single win at Ashton Gate since way back in January.

As for the visitors, while Nottingham Forest might have opened the new campaign in the midst of a real crisis, the Reds have bounced back in some style. Really finding an immediate boost after turning to new boss Steve Cooper last month, the one-time European champions were last seen over the weekend picking up a 2-1 victory at home against Blackpool. Skyrocketing their way up the Championship table and with the mood in their camp likely to be at a red-hot high, Forest are unbeaten in their last five straight second-tier contests. Likewise, the former Swansea boss has also seen his side pick up a hugely impressive 13 points on their recent purple patch. Last seen on the road landing a 3-0 romp away at Birmingham, Cooper’s high-flying squad should be smelling a golden chance in midweek.
