Competition: National League

Market: Notts County win

Odds: 29/20 @ Bet 365

With the chance to widen their buffer in the top-six, Notts County will make the trip to relegation scrappers AFC Fylde on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Fylde may have managed to pick up a 4-1 win over lower league Southport over the weekend, it does not cover what has been a worrying campaign for the Coasters. Despite being tipped as one of the play-off contenders before opening the 2019/2020 campaign, Jim Bentley’s men have won just seven of their 28 National League appearances this season and they have not recorded a fifth-tier victory since the end of November. Sat two points adrift of safety and hit with back-to-back defeats against Stockport and Barrow, Tuesday could be another long night for fans around Lancashire.

As for the visitors, while Fylde might still find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap, Notts County suddenly find themselves as a leading contender to secure a top-six finish. Picking up a 2-1 win over fellow National League outfit Dagenham & Redbridge in the FA Trophy over the weekend, Neal Ardley’s men have won four of their last five outings and are in the midst of an unbeaten run that stems back to the 23rd of November. With that run highlighted by a thumping 4-2 win away at title contenders Halifax last month, Notts will undoubtedly travel to Lancashire with their confidence at a high.
