Olivier Giroud 7/5 to score anytime against Everton in Saturday’s Premier League contest

Competition: Premier League

Market: Olivier Giroud to score anytime

Odds: 7/5 @ 888sport

Looking to cash in on Everton’s troubles and extend on their recent purple patch, Chelsea will make the trip to Goodison Park on Saturday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Everton might have shocked many when opening the 2020/2021 campaign, the Blues have rather drastically fallen off the boil. Now freefalling away from the European spots, Carlo Ancelotti’s men had to settle for what was a disappointing 1-1 draw away at relegation scrappers Burnley last weekend. While attacking talisman Dominic Calvert-Lewin might have managed to extend on his own stellar start to the new season, the former Napoli boss has seen his side win just one of their last seven Premier League contests, a run that stems back to October 3rd. With their recent issues highlighted by defeats against the likes of Southampton and Newcastle, Everton fans have also seen their men only collect a single point from their last three matchups at Goodison Park.

As for the visitors, cruising their way to the knockout stage of this year’s Champions League in rampant fashion, the mood in Chelsea’s camp should be at a red-hot high. With many billing Frank Lampard’s youngsters as a genuine title challenger this season, the former England midfielder finds his side enjoying a remarkable 14-match unbeaten run across all formats. One man to undoubtedly keep an eye out for at Goodison will be the free-scoring, Olivier Giroud. Despite a string of speculation surrounding his future, the World Cup-winner once again found the net against Leeds last weekend in Chelsea’s 3-1 victory. Also shocking many across Europe as he bagged all four goals out in Spain last week, the former Arsenal striker has now notched six goals in his last five contests across all formats.
