At the age of 17 years and 295 days, an Italian goalkeeping talent under the name of Gianluigi Buffon would be given a nod to start the Serie A game for Parma, after an initial call-up to train with the first team during the summer of 1994.

The fearless youngster graced the pitch against the eventual champions of Italy AC Milan and kept a clean sheet, while also making a string of notable saves to deny the fierce Rossoneri.

The rest is history as Buffon went on to become one of the great goalkeepers at all times.

Here is a video of his debut to mark the glorious occasion.
