Over 2.5 goals at Carlisle vs Crawley 1/1 for Tuesday’s League Two contest

Competition: League Two

Market: Over 2.5 goals

Odds: 1/1 @ 888sport

In a matchup that could see chances come thick and fast in midweek, Carlisle will welcome Crawley to an empty Brunton Park on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Carlisle might have hoped that their 3-1 win against Bradford earlier in the month could be a real catalyst for their campaign, it was just a minor boost for The Cumbrians. Really unable to match a similar level that saw them impress when heading into 2021, Chris Beech’s side have come tumbling out the top-half of the League Two table. Tasting late heartbreak at Brunton Park over the weekend and watching title-chasers Cambridge snatch a 2-1 win, Carlisle have lost their last three matchups on the spin and have gained a reputation for their continued issues at the back. Including what was a shock 3-1 drumming at the hands of Stevenage on March 20th, Tuesday’s hosts have failed to record a single fourth-tier clean sheet since the end of January.

As for the visitors, although Crawley might have stunned almost everyone as they picked up that 3-0 win against Premier League outfit Leeds back in January, John Yems’ side have struggled with their consistency. Despite opening 2021 dreaming of mounting a serious play-off charge this year, The Red Devils sit five points adrift of the top-seven and coming off the back of what has been a worrying week. Unable to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat against League Two debutants Barrow, Crawley were blown away in what was a 3-1 drumming against Port Vale over the weekend. Shipping a trio of strikes in their back-to-back defeats, Tuesday’s guests have also continued to struggle on their travels. Losing five of their last six matchups outside of Sussex, we’re backing what could be another lively encounter at Brunton Park.

Bet: Over 2.5 goals at Carlisle vs Crawley 1/1 for Tuesday’s League Two contest @ 888sport
