Two sides with a growing reputation for their high-scoring encounters, Inter Milan will welcome Roma to the San Siro on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, picking up a 2-1 win over SPAL last weekend, few in Italy would have expected the immediate impact that Antonio Conte’s arrival would have meant for Inter Milan. Leapfrogging Juventus to top spot and dreaming of clinching their 19th Serie A crown this season, I Nerazzurri also have a growing reputation for their form in the final third. Despite recording just a single clean sheet since the end of October, Inter have bagged at least a pair of goals in each of their last nine matches on the bounce and no side in Italy’s top-tier can boast a better-attacking record than Friday’s hosts.

As for the visitors, picking up a convincing 3-1 win away at a resurging Verona last weekend, Paulo Fonseca’s men have won their last three matches on the bounce and have a Champions League return on their agenda. Also on the verge of landing a spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Europa League, Roma have now bagged nine goals on their three-match winning run and have really started to click in the final third. Two sides continuing to shine at the attacking end, it should also be noted that 19 of the 20 combined matches between the Roma and Inter this season have seen over 2.5 goals at full-time.
