Ozil is thankful for Wenger

“He always protected and supported me the best way he could. I’m very thankful he was my coach. Would love to see him as a club manager again.”

Those were the words of Mesut Ozil during a recent Twitter conversation, in which he let it be known to the world that he’s thankful for the work of Arsene Wenger. It’s a nice sentiment from Ozil as the legendary former Arsenal manager prepares to return to the beautiful game, just a few months after he initially left Arsenal Football Club following a poor final few years at the Emirates.

There’s still a great deal of speculation as to where Wenger will end up, but when it comes to Mesut, it’s starting to seem like he’s in it for the long haul with the Gunners with his performance against Leicester reminding the world, and some Arsenal fans, how good he really is.
