Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi is not afraid of losing Sebastian Giovinco at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old attacker, who is co-owned by Parma and Juventus, has been strongly linked with a return to Turin after impressing at the Stadio Ennio Tardini since his arrival in 2010.

Earlier this month Giovinco cast further doubt over his long-term future at Parma by saying he was open to all possibilities.

Ghirardi said that even if Parma lose their star player, the transfer will allow them to strengthen their squad in the summer.

“We do not fear losing Giovinco,” Ghirardi told Tuttusport. “We are proud to have him with us, but losing him would allow a boost to the club’s coffers.”

The Italy international has scored 12 goals in 27 appearances in 2011/12 for Parma, who are 17th in the Serie A table.
