Pickford pens new six-year deal with Everton

Jordan Pickford has penned a new six-year deal with Everton, according to Sky Sports.

The twenty-four-year-old swapped the North East for Merseyside last summer with the Toffees paying Sunderland £30m to secure the goalkeeper’s services.

He kept ten clean sheets in the Premier League last season and picked up a hattrick of honours at Everton’s end-of-season awards before going on to play every minute of England’s World Cup tournament, helping them to a fourth-place finish.

The highlight of his campaign in Russia came in the Round of 16, with his penalty save key in the shoot-out victory over Columbia while he kept a clean sheet in the quarter finals win over Sweden.

In total, he has played fifty-two times for Everton in all competitions and is now committed to the club for a further six years.

Everton welcome Fulham to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon, and the home win can be backed at a price 4/6.
