Pochettino avoids transfer talk

“I don’t like to talk about rumours. I don’t want to talk about youth players. It doesn’t benefit anyone”.

Those are the words of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mr Mauricio Pochettino, who was responding to rumours that they’re interested in the possibility of signing Riqui Puig. The youngster has been viewed as the next Iniesta by a lot of fans and media members, but again, that doesn’t seem to be the real story here.

The real story, in truth, appears to be the fact that Spurs are still hesitant to talk about possible transfers. While the club have done well in the Premier League this season, and Europe to an extent, there are still many questions surrounding what they’re doing to do in January and next summer.

That’s because of their inability to sign anyone during the last summer transfer window, which raised quite a few eyebrows to say the very least.
