According to the man himself, timing played a huge role in why he wasn’t able to land the job ahead of Erik ten Hag – who currently sits in the role at Old Trafford.
Alas, you never know when you could get a second crack, which is why the Argentine has teased that he could end up managing the Red Devils after all.
The former Tottenham and PSG gaffer has been out of the game for a little while now and one way or the other, many would be surprised to see him miss out on a return to management in 2023 – especially with high profile clubs flying around at the moment.
