Pochettino: No update on Eriksen

“No news. Everything is in the same place as months ago”.

Those are the words of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has provided an ‘update’ of sorts on Christian Eriksen. The Danish attacking midfielder has been linked with a move way from Spurs for what feels like forever, and it’s certainly interesting to note that there’s no official update on his status even after all this time.

Eriksen has 18 months left on his current contract with a series of clubs being interested in his signature, including Real Madrid who already have ex-Spurs stars Luka Modric and Gareth Bale on the books.

The 26 year old first joined Tottenham back in 2013, when he made his multi million pound move from Dutch side Ajax. Since then he’s been able to establish himself as one of the best attacking midfielders in English football, and even that might be a bit of an understatement.
