According to Sky Sports, Aaron Ramsey is set to leave Arsenal Football Club at the end of the season on a free. The Welshman has been left to wonder why the option of a new contract was taken off the table, and now, the club have told him in person the reasons why they won’t be actively pursuing a new deal.
The whole ordeal has been ongoing for months and while this could just serve as more smoke & mirrors, it does seem like we’re approaching a more definitive conclusion to this story. Of course, because there’s a long way to go before we reach next summer, there’s a chance that we could see a U-turn if Ramsey is able to keep producing solid performances on the pitch.
Either way it’ll be a notable departure for the Gunners, with Ramsey spending over a decade making a name for himself with Arsenal.
