RB Leipzig deny Werner approach

According to a recent report from Bild, RB Leipzig’s sporting director has denied that the club has received an approach for star forward Timo Werner.

The young German has been at the heart of great speculation regarding his future as concerns within Leipzig grow that he’ll be moving on during the summer transfer window. A whole host of clubs are believed to be interested in acquiring his services, with Liverpool being situated at the front of the queue.

At this moment in time, however, it appears as if Leipzig are maintaining their poker face as they attempt to keep hold of the youngster for as long as they possibly can.

Werner himself seems to be fairly laid back about the prospect of leaving, but at the same time, it’s not like he’s throwing his toys out of the pram when it comes to potentially staying for another season or two.
