Reading draw no bet against Derby 6/5 for Wednesday’s Championship matchup

Competition: Championship

Market: Reading draw no bet

Odds: 6/5 @ 888sport

Looking to extend on what has been a purple patch on their travels in midweek, Reading will make the trip to Pride Park on Wednesday night when they face off against Derby.

Starting with the hosts, left heartbroken on their travels over the weekend and suffering a last-gasp defeat away at Bramall Lane, Derby will find the mood in their camp at a real low. Dealing with a host of issues behind the scenes and with another points deduction looming, Wayne Rooney’s men have freefallen their way to the foot of the Championship table. Now tipped as one of the leading relegation picks this season, the former England skipper has seen his side win just one of their last seven matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to the middle of August. Coming off the back of the weekend’s 1-0 loss at the hands of Sheffield United, Derby should also be worried by their recent record against the midweek guests. Including a 1-0 loss the last time they faced off against the Royals, they have lost three of their last four contests.

As for the visitors, while Reading might have entered the international break in the midst of a real struggle, they have bounced back in some style. Skyrocketing their way up the Championship standings, despite their own reported issues behind the scenes, Head Coach Veljko Paunović should still find the mood in his camp at a high. Last seen over the weekend landing a 1-0 win at home against Middlesbrough, the Royals also shocked many last week as they picked up a 2-1 win away at Fulham. In fact, along with winning each of their last three second-tier contests on the spin, they have mustered 10 points from just their last four appearances. Holding a largely impressive record against Wednesday’s hosts, including back-to-back victories, an away draw no bet midweek appear at attractive odds here.
