Real Madrid chasing Arsenal defender

Spanish giants Real Madrid are ready to make a  move for Arsenal left-back Gael Clichy.

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is ready to make a move for Clichy after failing to sign Chelsea’s Ashley Cole and Inter Milan star Maicon earlier this summer.

Mourinho wants to bring in two new full-backs and has also set his sights on signing Lyon’s Michel Bastos.

The People reports that Arsenal are aware of Real Madrid’s interest in signing Clichy.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could decide to cash in on Clichy and promote Kieran Gibbs as his new first-choice left-back.

Real Madrid boss Mourinho is also keen on signing Chelsea veteran Didier Drogba.
