According to a recent report from El Chiringuito, Real Madrid could wind up pursuing the signing of Erling Haaland after all.
It’s safe to say that Haaland has started like an absolute house on fire during the early months of his tenure at the Etihad. He’s already scored an insane 14 Premier League goals and with his Champions League contributions running nicely alongside that, opposition sides should probably be quite fearful about what he could achieve between now and the end of the season.
It’s no surprise that other clubs will also be invested in wanting to sign him but in many ways, there’s really only one that’s big enough to pry him away from City – and that’s Real Madrid.
The belief is that there is a clause in Haaland’s deal that would give Real the opportunity to sign him for €150 million, or around that figure, in summer 2024.
For the next few years, though, we don’t think he’s going anywhere.
