Real Madrid set sights on Marquinhos

Having already conceded defeat in the La Liga race this season, the reigning European Champions Real Madrid are making plans for the summer.

With a couple of highly talented youngsters, such as Brahim Diaz, already joining the club as future stars, Los Blancos are also making plans to bring in a couple of more experienced and established stars to add depth and experience to their squad.

And according to El Pais, Real Madrid seem to have identified PSG defender Marquinhos as their primary transfer target for the summer.

The 24-year-old former AS Roma centre-back is seen as a player who’d become an instant upgrade to Real Madrid’s backline. Widely considered as one of the best defenders in the world, Marquinhos is a perfect Real Madrid material.

His contract with Paris Saint-Germain runs until 2022 and El Pais claims Real Madrid have already established contact with PSG to study the possibility of a summer transfer.
