According to Bild, Real Madrid have had an approach for Benjamin Pavard rejected as speculation over the Frenchman’s future continues. The European champions enquired about his availability but were seemingly told by Stuttgart that he isn’t available to them – with recent reports suggesting that German giants Bayern Munich are the favourites to land his signature.
Pavard burst into the scene during the 2018 FIFA World Cup this past summer, putting in a string of impressive performances to help guide France all the way to the final where they defeated Croatia 4-2. Alas, he isn’t just a top quality defender, as he proved that he could strike the ball quite nicely too with a stunning effort against Argentina in the knockout stages.
The 22 year old is only just starting to come into his own, and given how young he actually is, it’s scary to consider just how good he could be in a few short years.
