Real reignite interest in Inigo Martinez

Real Madrid are set to launch a fresh assault on Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez, reports El Mundo Deportivo.

Los Blancos currently have three quality centre-backs at their disposal, Ramos, Pepe and Varane, but they plan to add another central defender to their ranks in the summer.

And the latest reports suggest Real Madrid are set to make a move on long-term target Inigo Martinez.

The Spanish giants have been following the talented defender for a while now, and it appears they will have to match his €30 million release clause just like they did with his former teammate Asier Illarramendi.

Inigo Martinez is another high-quality player to have come through the youth ranks at Anoeta and he already boasts considerable top-flight experience.

The 22-year-old has made a total of 83 La Liga appearances for La Real, and managed to score 8 goals in the process.

Real Sociedad face Sevilla at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan tomorrow evening and they are 13/5 to emerge victorious.
