Real Madrid have named a price for Marcelo, according to a report by Corriere dello Sport.
Despite recently losing his place in the team to young Sergio Reguilon, the Italian newspaper claim the price the Champions League holders put on him amounts to around €70 million.
Marcelo spoke to Real’s sporting director Jose Angel Sanchez last week about his future, reportedly for over an hour, after seeing Reguilon cut in front of him in the pecking order under head coach Santiago Solari. He also recently revealed that he would be willing to leave Santiago Bernabeu should his services cease to be of importance to the club, and links with Juventus have appeared in the press.
However, setting a €70 million price for a left-back which turns 31 this May would certainly indicate a different stance from Real – a strong reluctance to part ways with a player who has been a faithful part of the team for almost 12 years, helping them to a large number of trophies.
