Real set to complete a deal for Inter defender, Fabregas nearing return to Camp Nou

Real agree fee for Inter defender

Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Inter for the transfer of Douglas Maicon and the deal is set to be completed in the next few days.

The cost of the deal that will see arguably the best full-back in the world reunited with Jose Mourinho is 28 million euros plus a bonus fee that has yet to be defined.

The negotiations between the two clubs have been going on for a couple of weeks now but with Maicon expressing his wish to join Real early on, the deal was always going to be completed.

Maicon’s overlapping runs down the right flank will add a new dimension to Real’s attack but the Brazlian’s arrival will also see Sergio Ramos move back to the centre of defence.

Should Mourinho also manage to bring Ashley Cole to Santiago Bernabeu, Los Merengues will finally have a formidable back line, which is an absolute must for the team that boast so many attack-minded players. Maybe The Special One will succeed in what so many have failed before him, and that is restoring the glory days at Santiago Bernabeu.

Frabregas’ return to Barcelona on the cards

According to the latest reports in Spain, Barcelona and Arsenal are in the midst of secret negotiations and are close to agreeing a transfer for Francesc Fabregas.

Even though both clubs deny that the negotiations are in progress, El Mundo Deportivo has learned that a deal should be completed before the weekend.

Barcelona and Cesc Fabregas, who is eager to return to his boyhood club, have already agreed terms and all that’s left is for the two clubs to agree on the transfer fee.

It is thought that Arsenal are willing to accept 45 million euros in order to let the Spaniard leave and Barcelona should have no problems matching the asking price.

Cesc Fabregas has said on several occasions that he is keen to return to Barcelona, and he has also explained that to Arsene Wenger, who looks to have succumbed to the player’s desire.

With David Villa already at the club and Fabregas close to wearing the Barcelona jersey all over again, the Catalans look to have completed the final pieces of the puzzle that should see them continue to rule the world for at least few more years.

Mido and El Hamdaoui join Ajax

Ajax Amsterdam are set to reinforce their attack with Mounir El Hamdoui and Mido.

After the unsuccessful spell at West Hem, Mido will join Ajax on a free transfer from Middlesborugh, where he will have the chance to work with Martin Jol, who already coached him at Tottenham.

The Egyptian is not the only addition to the Amsterdam ArenA outfit as the Dutch side are also on the verge of signing AZ Alkmaar’s Mounir El Hamdaoui for the fee of 5 million euros.

Ajax have already agreed terms with both AZ and the player and the deal should be announced later today.

Martin Jol was in desperate need for strikers after seeing Marko Pantelic leave the squad, especially since Luis Suarez is being courted by big European clubs and is widely expected to leave.

However, I am not sure Ajax fans will be too impressed by the new signings since both the Egyptian and the Moroccan are hardly role model professionals. While El Hamdaoui makes up for his occasional misconducts by his excellent return of goals, the same cannot be said for Mido, who looks to be well past his prime and will probably struggle to command a starting place at Amsterdam ArenA.

Total rubbish about Fabregas deal, just disgraceful Spanish propoganda.
Until I hear him say he wants to leave will not believe it and in any case Arsenal woud not take less than £60 million.
Its about time UEFA or FIFA stepped in to stop this disgusting Barcelona tapping up.
