Reds keen to keep Origi

Liverpool are preparing a new deal for forward Divock Origi, according to the Telegraph.

The Merseyside outfit are keen to keep hold of the twenty-four-year-old, who played a huge part in helping his side clinch the Champions League trophy last term.

He has just one year remaining on his current contract meaning he could leave on a free transfer next summer, though manager Jurgen Klopp is determined to secure his services.

Since signing from Lille in the summer of 2014, Origi has racked up almost a hundred appearances in all competitions, though he did spend the 2017/18 campaign on loan at Wolfsburg.

He has been capped twenty-five times for his country, scoring three goals – the first of those coming at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil, against Russia.

The 2019/20 Premier League campaign kicks off at Anfield on Friday, August with the Reds hosting Norwich City and last year’s runners-up are priced at 9/4 to win the league.
