Rice’s future remains uncertain

“It is impossible to say. I cannot know the future.

“He is a player that has had a brilliant season, is 20 years old, English under 20 so he has a lot of quality, age, nationality. All of the big teams will want him. That is one thing and this other if he will stay or if he will go I cannot say in this moment.”

Those are the words of West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini, who has given his thoughts on the future of midfielder Declan Rice. The youngster is considered to be one of the most intriguing young players in European football today, and as such, West Ham have a mission on their hands if they want to secure his services for another season.

West Ham have had a strong season in the Premier League which ended in a top half finish, and next season, they’ll want to be aiming for Europe.
