Riise contemplating Fulham exit

John Arne Riise has admitted that he could leave Fulham when the transfer window reopens, Sky Sports understands.

The ex-Norway international hasn’t featured in the Premier League since the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United at the end of the August, and is growing frustrated at his limited opportunities under Martin Jol.

The Cottagers manager has tended to opt for Keiron Richardson at left-back, with Riise not even being given a place on the substitute’s bench.

The 33 year old moved to Craven Cottage from Roma in July 2011, while before his three year spell in Serie A, he had seven seasons at Liverpool where he won the FA Cup and Champions League.

Fulham dropped into the bottom three of the Premier League on Saturday after being thumped 4-0 by Liverpool, while the four teams below them all picked up points.

They are now priced at 9/4 to be relegated after twelve consecutive years in the top flight.
