“That’s not entirely clear [his future], perhaps I will stop playing – it’s about waiting and seeing what possibilities there are. If offers come in, I’ll really consider them 100 percent and if it’s something nice, I’ll play on, but if no ideal offers come, then that could be it”.

Those are the words of Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben, who is set to leave the German club at the end of the season. The veteran, who many consider to be one of the best of his generation, is in the final few years of his career – and if this is to be believed, then it may only be the final few months.

Perhaps this is being done in order to entice potential clubs around Europe to put in an offer, which would make sense. Robben is still able to get the job done at a high level and while he may not start every game, he could be great as an impact sub for many notable European clubs.

Or, perhaps he decides to secure the future of his family by making a big money move to America or China. The options really are limitless, and it’s just a case of seeing who comes forward.
