According to reports in England, Liverpool defender Andy Robertson is on the verge of doubling his wages as he prepares to sign a new five year contract with the Reds. Robertson has been on a phenomenal run of form this season and has made the left back spot his own, to the point where many consider him to be one of the breakout stars of the year.
The Scot is playing amongst some truly world class stars in the starting XI at Anfield and now he can consider himself to be world class in his own right, having joined from Hull City last year.
This new deal would see his wages go from £60,000 to at least £120,000 in a deal that would run until 2023. Of course, another club could easily come in for him during that time, but he seems to be more than happy with his current position at Liverpool.
