Rodriguez heading to Qatar?

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Everton star James Rodriguez is in talks with a club in Qatar ahead of a possible switch to the Middle East.

Rodriguez has yet to play a single game under the tutelage of Rafa Benitez which was, in the eyes of many, somewhat predictable after Carlo Ancelotti left Goodison Park.

Rodriguez had an option to make the move over to Portugal during the summer transfer window but after a deal couldn’t be struck with Porto, he wound up staying on Merseyside.

The Colombian likely believes he still has a lot left to give but if he does decide to head on over to Qatar, there’s no denying the fact that he’ll be making that decision for financial reasons.

There’s nothing wrong with that, per say, but it would eliminate the idea that he still wants to try and fight to remain competitive at the elite level in Europe.
