Rodriguez heading to Turkey?

According to a recent report from Goal, Everton star James Rodriguez is being linked with a move to Istanbul Basaksehir.

During the first half of his first season on Merseyside it genuinely seemed as if James Rodriguez had turned a real corner. He was putting together some great passages of play, had some confidence back in this game, and worked efficiently with new Toffees manager Carlo Ancelotti – the man who brought him over in the first place.

Now, though, with Rafa Benitez at the helm, it appears as if the club is aiming to move forward without him, prompting many teams across Europe to show their interest in the Colombian.

One such example of that is Istanbul Basaksehir, a team that has been able to quickly rise up through the ranks of Turkish football in the last few years.

It’s a move that could make sense but the real question, as always, is whether or not they can afford his wages.
